I agree completely Mike. Not having that $53.00 part cost me another $200.00 :(
and that is what I call the stupid tax.
Just think the joy I could have had this weekend if I had that vice block :) _________________ Mega/Mega Build in Progress

ETA - I have a stripped upper (used) you can have for real cheap if you want. Like $40 cheap... |
Ill take the upper... Who makes it? |

Got the upper in the brown box delivery today...
Got the upper mated with the barrel. M4 feed ramps are a little weak, but will test them out with some Accubond and Vmax tomorrow to see how they rate.
Also...That block is a life saver! Wish I had it earlier in the month, for shizzy! I'm going to call mega machine monday and find out if they'll replace my upper for a small fee :) _________________ Mega/Mega Build in Progress

| But why not keep an upper in 5.56 since it would be easier to get ammo for just in case? |

Logistics my friend... around here, there's things that come first...
The first is I over spent my budget build by doing two ;)
And that left my money short for equipment that the wife needed to buy for her shop prior to the end of the year (tax deductions).
So I compromised, and will build it after the first of the year.... Cameras and photo equipment makes me more money than the gun ;) _________________ Mega/Mega Build in Progress
